Training & Development
Training & Development
of the Purchase professionals is the single most important aim of IPMA. We will organise technical, commercial & management training sessions, lectures, workshops & seminars for purchase professionals on a t No Cost or Low Cost basis.
Creating Professional Networking
opportunities & enhancing interaction amongst the fellow professionals will be the second most important function of IPMA. We shall endeavor to bring together all buying/sourcing related professionals closer in a tightly knit cohesive community.
Industry & Trade Conferences
We shall organise Educational conferences for different industry sectors & trade groups with a view to focus upon the continual improvement of all our members by information dissemination, creating awareness about new advancements, technical developments, changes in laws etc.
Buyer Seller meets
For one reason or another, all Buyers
want to develop new vendors all the time. Similarly sellers
are always looking for new buyers. We aim to make the process just a little bit easier for both, by creating a common platform where both can meet & explore business opportunities.
Purchase & Related Jobs
These days career development cannot be achieved by majority of people without a job change. Whatever might be the reason for seeking it, change is inevitable. We wish to lend our helping hand in this quest of Purchase professionals in as much as we can. Please click here for Purchase & Purchase related jobs
IPMA would also provide a platform to the corporates to get their Purchase related vacancies filled from amongst the vast pool of talent that we would eventually have. Corporates & senior purchase managers can intimate us about their requirement of Purchase professionals & we will try to sound out our fellow members for the same. Requirements can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
New Vendor Development
is a tedious task & finding good vendors is really tough. IPMA will use the combined knowledge, experience & insights of its huge community to help member professionals & companies develop new vendors. The members have to just inform the IPMA board about their needs & we will ensure that a few good vendors are found out for you very soon.
After new prospective vendors are identified, verifying their claims, integrity, capability etc. follows in logical conclusion. Although most organisations will have their own tried & tested means of vendor evaluation, nothing beats the simple yet effective old way of vendor evaluation i.e. reference checks. The huge number of purchase professionals in the membership of IPMA will mean that at least someone from our community would have dealt with those particular vendors. IPMA will operate this service as a closed door mechanism so that supplier verifications can be done discreetly & in confidence.
Going ahead we also plan to come up with directory listings for suppliers. This is an ambitious plan & will require the combined efforts of all of us. Listing in this supplier directory
will be chargeable for vendors & suppliers. However this whole activity will be carried out on a nonprofit basis. The proceeds of the listing fee would only be used for the various programs, projects & activities that IPMA would undertake.
